I am truly pleased to support and endorse Mr. Jarvis Parsons in his bid for reelection as the District Attorney for Brazos County. In my fellowship with Jarvis over the years, I have always found him to be a natural gentleman as well as a person who has the best interests of the citizens he serves at heart. Being a tough and fair prosecutor while seeking justice for victims or crime is something that his record demonstrates. In today's environment of criminals not being held accountable for their crimes in some areas of our state and country, as well as our justice system showing a trend of being soft on crime, the citizens of Brazos County can be assured that Jarvis Parsons will continue to stand up for justice and accountability. The quality of life that you and your families so deserve to enjoy, along with living in a safe county, is what District Attorney Jarvis Parsons will continue to protect.

Don G. Sowell, Sheriff
Grimes County Sheriff’s Office

I write this to express my deep admiration of, and my deep gratitude for, the leadership and friendship of the Brazos County District Attorney, Jarvis Parsons.

I have known Jarvis for more than 20 years, since we met in 2003 during a training for new prosecutors. I have proudly called Jarvis a friend since that initial meeting, but 10 years later, Jarvis graciously asked me to join his team immediately following his election as the Brazos County District Attorney. That opportunity is truly one of the greatest blessings of my professional life.

I spent the decade from 2012 through 2022 working under Jarvis in Brazos County. During that time, I learned from Jarvis what strong, effective leadership looks like in a district attorney’s office. Jarvis taught me how to set a positive example among prosecutors and staff, and how to utilize the knowledge, skill, and experience of everyone in the office in order to achieve better results in the courtroom and in the community. Jarvis frequently says to his staff, “Teamwork makes the dream work!” Jarvis’s leadership exemplifies that mantra.

Jarvis cares about the people he leads as deeply as he cares about the work they produce. He frequently checks in with his staff to learn how they are doing personally, as well as professionally. I benefitted from Jarvis’s support in that regard in 2020 when I felt I needed to take a break from the courtroom. Without hesitation, Jarvis accommodated me and allowed me to immediately rotate into a different position that taught me a whole new skill set, and which made me a better overall prosecutor. Serving under Jarvis, and as part of the team he assembled, was a privilege I will always treasure.

Two of my favorite memories of Jarvis illustrate the kind of elected district attorney he is. One of those memories is seeing Jarvis sitting on the floor of an office, late at night, painstakingly sorting through box upon box of physical evidence in preparation for the successful death penalty prosecution of Gabriel Hall. The other memory is when, during a different capital murder case, Jarvis volunteered to take care of my trial partner’s newborn baby when the day’s court session stretched into the night. Those two events sum Jarvis up as a prosecutor, and as a leader.

On December 30, 2022 I left Brazos County to become the First Assistant District Attorney in McLennan County. Prior to that opportunity, I had no desire to leave Brazos County. However, the chance to serve as a First Assistant allowed me to take the leadership lessons I learned from Jarvis and inject them into an office where they were needed. On a daily basis, I find myself leaning on Jarvis’s example for guidance.

In short, working for Jarvis shaped me into a far better prosecutor and a far better leader. I am so grateful for Jarvis and I look forward to seeing him continue his exceptional service to the Bryan/College Station community which is so dear to my heart.

Ryan Calvert
Assistant District Attorney, Brazos County

I met Jarvis at Newly, Elected District Attorney Boot Camp in December 2012 shortly before both of us were sworn in to tackle our first terms in neighboring counties.  Jarvis quickly became one of my most trusted colleagues to turn to when I need another opinion. Brazos County has been blessed to have such an intelligent, honest and talented District Attorney over the last decade.  His integrity is impeccable and he strives to hold criminals accountable while always striving to pursue justice no matter what.  Jarvis has pulled together a staff that often trains other prosecutors all over the State.  That speaks of their talent and knowledge in the world of criminal prosecution.  I am honored to endorse Jarvis Parsons to continue to serve the citizens of Brazos County as District Attorney.

Julie Renken
Washington County District Attorney

I have known Jarvis Parsons for over a decade and currently serve with him on Governor Abbott’s Sexual Assault Task Force Prosecutor Working Group. Jarvis is a dedicated public servant who works hard to improve public safety in Brazos County and across our state. He has dedicated a significant amount of his time and energy working to improve the criminal justice system’s response to domestic violence and sexual assault. Jarvis stands up for victims of crime and knows that criminal offenders must be held accountable for their actions. He is a recognized leader among Texas prosecutors and has earned the respect of his colleagues across the state. Recently, Jarvis was honored by the Texas District and County Attorney’s Association for his work training  both new and experienced prosecutors.

Jarvis Parsons is also a man of great character. A vote for Jarvis is a vote for a strong, experienced, ethical prosecutor who will continue to work tirelessly to make Brazos County safer for all of its citizens.

Staley Heatly, 46th Judicial District Attorney
Former TDCAA President, 2017 Prosecutor of the Year

As a retired College Station police officer with 22 years of experience and current local attorney since 2012, I have worked with Jarvis Parsons and his office countless times. I can confidently say that Jarvis is the best candidate for District Attorney of Brazos County. For the past 12 years, Jarvis has led our district attorney’s office with exceptional leadership, implementing innovative programs, surrounding himself with exceptional staff, and vigorously prosecuting criminal defendants to ensure that the values and expectations of the citizens of Brazos County are met. Jarvis’ proven record speaks for itself. Please join me and many others in supporting Jarvis Parsons for district attorney.

Donnie Andreski
Attorney at Law

I have had the pleasure of knowing Jarvis Parsons for over fourteen (14) years as a professional colleague, mentor, but more importantly as a close friend.  In 2009, I worked for the Brazos County District Attorney’s office until my departure in 2013.  It was during that time that Jarvis had a tremendous impact on my professional and personal life which has led me to a continued career in prosecution.

Since then, I have had the honor and privilege of continuing to witness Jarvis’ excellence as a lawyer, community leader, husband, and a father.  Jarvis is one of the best legal advocates I have ever seen.  However, it is his passion for service that goes beyond the courtroom that makes him the most qualified candidate.  He is constantly giving of himself to enrich others.  The most amazing part is that he expects nothing in return.  He truly does it out of the goodness of his heart.  In today's world, this is extremely rare.  It is special.  I have seen, first-hand, the gratitude expressed by so many victims and their families when he works to achieve justice on their behalf, and on behalf of our community.  He divulges so much effort into his casework, as well as community initiatives.

The District Attorney’s race is one of the most important elections that directly impacts the safety of the community.  That is why it is imperative that the person elected is committed to keeping the citizens and victims of Brazos County safe, that he has impeccable trial and leadership skills, and that he is trusted to make the right decision every time.

Jarvis Parson has demonstrated this day in and day out as a prosecutor.  He has tried some of the most heinous crimes that our community has seen, he’s has been the voice for many victims of crime whether big or small, and he’s been one of the most influential leaders in the State of Texas.

His commitment and dedication to seek justice is unwavering which is what we need from the District Attorney.  We need a leader that is committed to keeping Brazos County safe and a leader that has the knowledge, skills, ability, and experience to get the job done as he has done in the past.  That is why I believe that Jarvis is the most qualified candidate.

So please join me in re-electing Jarvis Parsons.

Krystal Biggins
Former Assistant District Attorney, Brazos County

I had the pleasure of serving as an Assistant District Attorney under District Attorney Jarvis Parsons between 2018 to 2022. Throughout my time with the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office, I experienced the outstanding leadership qualities Jarvis Parsons exemplifies and encourages within the office. His leadership permeates down to every person serving Brazos County within the District Attorney’s office. Among all the leadership qualities he possesses, here are three qualities he instilled in me as a prosecutor.

Integrity. Jarvis Parsons personifies the motto: “Do the right thing at the right time for the right reasons.” Mr. Parsons is beholden to his duty to ethically carryout justice on behalf of the citizens of Brazos County – a duty he fulfills with unwavering clarity and purpose. He does not allow for personal agendas or outside influence to alter the proper course of action. Mr. Parsons understands the call for the District Attorney’s office is always to seek the truth and maintain the trust between law enforcement and the community.

Humility. Mr. Parsons regards his elected position greater than himself or any single person. He is a prime example of a public servant. He has served and will continue to serve the people of Brazos County with leadership to an office that seeks no glory or praise for themselves, but remains steadfast in maintaining the interests of victims, families, and citizens as the focal point.

Wisdom. Jarvis Parsons has 20+ years of experience as a prosecutor. He possesses knowledge and expertise in handling all types of criminal cases, caring for victims, supervising personnel, and managing relations with outside agencies and entities. He garners all the knowledge and experience to continue making the right decisions as District Attorney and to lead and mentor all prosecutors and support staff within the office. Mr. Parsons practices diligence and thoughtfulness in each decision he makes as District Attorney – always seeking the interest of victims and constituents of Brazos County.

Altogether, DA Jarvis Parsons is the right choice to continue leading the Brazos County District Attorney’s office.

Renson Abraham
Former Assistant District Attorney, Brazos County

It is with sincere enthusiasm that I support Jarvis Parsons’ in his campaign for re-election to a third term as Brazos County’s District Attorney.

Since he began serving as Assistant D.A. for 10 years prior to stepping into Brazos County’s elected Chief Prosecutor’s position in 2013, I have personally witnessed D.A. Parsons’ dedication to seeking justice for citizens of our county – both in the courtroom and through his community service across the county. When   re-elected to a third term, maintaining his commitment in both arenas is sure to remain a high priority for D.A. Parsons.

Whether it be prosecuting state jail felonies or the most challenging of death penalty cases, D.A. Parsons has led and worked diligently alongside his Brazos County prosecution teams and always with the goal to bring the most impactful and just verdicts for the citizens they represent.

Locally, what an enlightening experience it was to have participated in one of  D.A. Parsons’ strongest commitments to citizens’ engagement: the “Brazos County Citizens Prosecutor’s Academy.” The multi-week program allows citizens to meet with and hear first-hand how all the separate positions within the D.A.’s office, and all with different responsibilities, work together with other agencies to bring effective outcomes.

Also, for more than a decade, I had the privilege to serve with D.A. Parsons on the Board of “Scotty’s House,” the Brazos Valley Child Advocacy Center. The passion shown from his board position to seek justice for abused children was as apparent as his passion shown regularly as a prosecutor in the courtroom. D.A. Parsons’ commitment as a victims’ advocate who need a “voice” through their judicial processes is also evident in his serving on the “Governor’s Sexual Assault Task Force,” tackling sexual assault crises in a survivors-centered framework, forming a domestic violence prosecution unit, and starting the “Cut It Out” program for hairstylists to recognize signs of domestic violence in their clients and refer to the local women’s shelter.

Mary Jo Prince
Community Volunteer

I am writing to support Jarvis Parsons for District Attorney of Brazos County.   As a former community supervision officer (adult probation officer) at the  Brazos County Community Supervision and Corrections Department for twenty-six years,  I had an opportunity to work closely with the District Attorney’s office and Mr. Parsons.  He and I met in 2002, and we were both relatively new to our respective fields.  Over the next 20 years, I would learn who Jarvis Parsons is and what he stands for, coming to understand his thoughts and rationale.  When someone says they know you, they typically understand and can vouch for your character.  Over the years, I have grown to respect not only the positions he has held, from prosecutor to chief prosecutor in the 272nd Judicial District Court to District Attorney but to trust him in those positions because he has always strived to represent justice for all.

The internet will tell you that Mr. Parsons graduated from McNeese State University and obtained a Juris Doctorate from the University of Maine School of Law. It will also tell you that Mr. Parsons has received awards for his work.  He was the recipient of the 2023 C. Chris Marshall Award by the Texas District County Attorneys Association (TDCAA) for his dedication to training district attorneys from across the state and Prosecutor of the Year by the Texas State Bar’s Criminal Justice Section in 2019 for his leadership and devotion to the criminal justice system.  He has presented nationally and is highly respected by his peers.  However, there is more to him.

My grandmother used to tell me that she was not telling me what she heard but what she knew was true.  So, what do I know to be genuine and true about Jarvis Parsons?  He is a devoted husband, loving father, and committed leader in his church.  I have observed and held conversations with him that assure me of the following character traits.  He is humble.   He serves his community.   He is a voice for the victims.   He takes nothing for granted.   He is a role model.   He is passionate about his work and gives his all daily.  He zealously strives to treat people fairly inside and outside of the courtroom.   He does not have respect for any particular group of people.  He has successfully prosecuted cases ranging from state jail felonies (the least severe) to capital murder cases.  All of the traits he encompasses are reflected in the members of his office staff.  He is profoundly grateful for the support he has received from the people of Brazos County and, if re-elected, will continue to represent the community by ensuring justice is served.

In conclusion, I fully support Mr. Parsons as he seeks another term as the District Attorney of Brazos County.  I do not doubt that he will continue to take this role seriously and epitomize justice, fairness, and impartiality.

Former Community Supervision Officer, Brazos County Community Supervision & Corrections Department

Government representatives who are unselfish are few and in between, those who put the public good above personal interest. It is for this reason that I support the reelection of Jarvis Parson for Brazos County District Attorney.  There are three areas of Jarvis’ leadership that I believe set him apart from the others.

Jarvis is a Visionary:

Jarvis instituted the Citizens Prosecutor Academy where residents were given an inside look at the judicial process and role of the District Attorney’s Office. It is the first District Attorney’s Office in the Brazos Valley to offer such a program. Attendees hear from prosecutors and investigators as well as other law enforcement personnel, and victim service providers about not only what the District Attorney’s Office does but why they do what they do. Jarvis also instituted the “Cut it Out Program” Hair stylist and salon professional are trained to recognize the symptoms of domestic violence, and put them in contact with their local domestic violence shelter. Programs like these are unique to our area and show that Jarvis Parsons runs an office that is transparent and proactive in responding to problems in the community.

Jarvis is a Leader:

Jarvis is the past President and Chairman of the Board for the Texas District and County Attorneys Association (TDCAA), one the largest prosecutor organizations in the country. He is also a member in the Training Committee and the Diversity Recruitment and Retention Committee. Mr. Parsons spends his time ensuring that prosecution across the state of Texas is fair and just for everyone. In fact, he was awarded the C. Chris Marshall award this year for his work in training prosecutors in the areas of law and ethics.

Jarvis is a Servant:

Jarvis has served faithfully as a member of Skybreak Church for the past 21 years and has served in the Children’s Ministry, Youth Ministry, and Young Adult Ministry. He is also a board member of Scotty’s House Child Advocacy Center and the Sexual Assault Resource Center. He is serving his local community on a regular basis.

I believe Jarvis has proven over and over again his ability as an enforcer of the law and his ability to stand for truth and justice for all the people. I cannot think of a better person to represent Brazos County in the position of District Attorney than Jarvis Parsons.

Ann Boney

Janet and I lend our full support to the re-election of Jarvis Parsons for Brazos County District Attorney.  The fairness and good judgement with which Jarvis has led and served the Attorneys office these many years (both as Assistant DA and now District Attorney) makes our decision an easy one.

We have known Jarvis and wife, Amiee for more than 20 years as their Pastors. Their family, including miracle daughter Erin, have become an important part of our lives.  They are authentic and respected leaders in our community and at Skybreak Church.

We look forward to casting our vote for Jarvis Parsons for Brazos County District Attorney.  I hope you'll join us.

Danny & Janet Green
Founding Senior Pastor, Skybreak Church

As a retired Brazos County Commissioner, I am familiar with how important experience and commitment matter in performing the duties of county government. Jarvis Parsons' extensive track record and active engagement in county business are a few of the many reasons why I whole-heartedly support his bid for re-election as Brazos County District Attorney.

Personally, I have witnessed Jarvis in action as Assistant District Attorney as well as District Attorney - Elect. Jarvis is a prosecutor who you can call on and talk to any time you have a question or a problem. He prioritizes Brazos county citizens’ questions and concerns about county government by making time to meet and discuss issues in person to ensure that all voices in the county are heard. In an effort to increase transparency, Jarvis created a ‘Citizens Prosecutor Academy’ in Brazos County to allow citizens to learn more about our District Attorney’s Office, county government, and criminal justice system.

Jarvis has been committed to justice in Brazos County for over 20 years. He has never wavered in his goal of trying to make Brazos County a safer place. I have observed Jarvis and his team's quest for justice in prosecuting individuals for some of the most heinous acts imaginable in Brazos County. He has worked to ensure that individuals who have committed violent crimes, crimes against women, and most importantly, crimes against children receive punitive sentences.

As Brazos County District Attorney, Jarvis’ exemplary leadership and training model are evidenced by the significant positive results that he and his team have earned. Jarvis is highly respected at the local, state and national level and has been recognized as the State Bar Prosecutor of the Year.

Jarvis is committed to the welfare of women and children in this community. He has served faithfully on the governing board of Scotty's House, our local child advocacy center and the board of the Sexual Assault Resource Center to ensure that at risk women and children in our communities are given essential resources and protection as they emerge from crises and transition to stability.

Rehabilitation and fairness are also critical focuses of Jarvis’s work. He started a program for young, first-time, non-violent, low-level drug offenders . Those who choose to complete the program of random drug testing for a year, classes, and community service, get a second chance at life and get a chance to get back into the workforce and be contributing members to society.

Jarvis brings so much to the table. He is an experienced, committed prosecutor of sound judgement and fairness. He has done a great job leading the Brazos County District Attorney's Office for over 20 years. I hope you will join me in continuing to expect a commitment to excellence to lead in Brazos County governance by voting for Jarvis Parsons for District Attorney.

Irma Cauley
Retired Brazos County Commissioner

It is my great honor and privilege to offer my support for Brazos County District Attorney Jarvis Parsons in his Re-Election bid to serve his 4th term.  Our friendship began through our spouses in 2002 while serving together at a local church.   We connected immediately with him being originally from Lake Charles, LA and me being from Singer, LA.  Through the years, our friendship has become very dear to my family, and my life is blessed beyond measure.

Jarvis is one of the most genuine people that I know!  He is a great District Attorney, but he is a greater person.  His faith in God, his devotion to his family, and his commitment to the duties of the office of District Attorney and his community are second to none.  Jarvis has the uncommon ability to lead and inspire others and to make difficult decisions, and his work ethic is unmatched.  He always goes to his knees and seeks God’s wisdom and advice. Numerous times throughout his tenure as District Attorney, he and I have met in the DA offices and walked through and prayed over each desk of his staff members.  Jarvis never mentions names but he has had me pray over the families of people being prosecuted, and for God to be with them in that difficult situation.

It has been said that a rising tide raises all ships.  Jarvis Parsons and his staff is that tide. There will be other’s that will endorse him that will talk more about his accolades that he has accomplished and his state and national awards and recognition. I wanted to share my heart about Jarvis and his unyielding commitment of being fair and honest and answering the call to make Brazos County a safer place for all.

Jarvis’s prosecution records speak for itself, his conservative values reflect his heart, and his desire that everyone get a fair trial and be prosecuted to the letter of the law are just a few of the reasons why I and my wife support Jarvis Parsons in his  Re-Elected for Brazos County District Attorney.

Jonathan A. Poe ’90
Campaign Treasurer

Brazos County Residents,

I am writing to express my wholehearted support for Jarvis Parsons for re-election as Brazos County’s District Attorney. Jarvis is an exemplary attorney and proven leader whose unwavering integrity and outstanding character have already left an indelible mark on our local criminal justice system during his tenure as our District Attorney.

Jarvis is not just a legal professional; throughout his career, Jarvis has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the principles of fairness, justice, and ethical conduct.

In addition to his legal acumen, Jarvis embodies qualities that set him apart. His dedication to our community goes beyond the call of duty, reflecting a genuine concern for the well-being of the citizens of Brazos County. This level of personal investment is a rare and commendable trait that speaks volumes about his character.

I without reservation encourage you to support Jarvis Parsons in his campaign for re-election as our District Attorney. By doing so, you are not only endorsing a highly skilled attorney but also championing an individual whose integrity, character and proven leadership are the cornerstones of his professional identity.

Thank you for considering Jarvis Parsons as a candidate worthy of your support. I am confident that, with your endorsement, he will continue to make invaluable contributions to our community.

Larry J. Johnson
College Station Police Assistant Chief (Retired)

I wholeheartedly support Jarvis Parsons' re-election for Brazos County District Attorney.  Jarvis has done his job as District Attorney with integrity and fairness. Any time I have reached out to Jarvis with a question or an issue, he has been quick to respond to any concerns that I have had and has always gone the extra mile. In my job I have the opportunity to work with at-risk youth in Brazos County.  I asked Jarvis if he would speak to my kids about the dangers of social media. Jarvis jumped at the chance, even bringing  his investigator who is an expert in identifying child predators online.  But Jarvis went even further, working with me in organizing a session with local parents so they can learn about the specific dangers of social media, cellphone and computer apps that predators use to take advantage of our children and grandchildren. Jarvis has done things like this many times, coming to the Greater Friendship District Association to speak to the youth about staying on the right track and staying in school to reach and achieve their dreams.

Jarvis Parsons took over the mantle of leadership from Bill Turner who led our community well for over 28 years. He has done an excellent job for three terms and made sure his prosecutors do justice without partiality or favoritism. These are the character traits we want in a District Attorney,  and this is what we have in Jarvis Parsons. Please join me in voting for Jarvis Parsons for District Attorney.

Agnes Gray

My wife and I are honored to be providing a letter of support for Jarvis Parsons, current Brazos County District Attorney, and friend.   We have known Jarvis for about 5 years. In this time, Jarvis has shown that he is a man of God with integrity. He has a passion for people and a passion for doing what is right. We have had the pleasure of getting to know Jarvis in many different social, professional, and personal situations. He is the same man in every situation.  He is the person you can go to and know that he is going to offer sound and unbiased advice. Jarvis has the ability to make people feel comfortable and lets them know he has their best interest in mind without passing judgement. Jarvis is not afraid to have hard conversations to achieve the best possible outcome for all those involved.  This world and community need more men like him.

Before my father passed, he taught me to treat others how I want to be treated, work hard, respect others and offer a helping hand when needed.  I mention this because Jarvis instills all the values my own father taught me and more. In my adult years Jarvis has been my mentor. He has modeled for me, how to be a man of God, a father, a friend, and a husband. His consistency, faith and integrity are seen daily in all interactions whether they are personal or professional. Jarvis is respected by the people in the community, including his staff because of the characteristics I mentioned above. Jarvis leads by example, which has resulted in having a respected department that gets justice for victims and a safer community. Therefore, we whole heartedly support Jarvis Parsons being re-elected as District Attorney for Brazos County.

Robert and Melanie Costello

It has been my honor to know Mr. Parsons since shortly before he was initially elected Brazos County District Attorney. He is a man of faith, a family man, a man of conscience and conviction. Mr. Parsons strives to be fair and impartial in dealing with the responsibilities of his office. Having had the honor of being a participant in the Citizen Prosecutor Academy, we were given a very detailed understanding of how the process works. As a Bryan native, it is my belief that we are blessed to have such a person as our D.A. Join me in my support so that we can continue to be so ably and effectively represented.

Melvin O. Cooper

Jarvis Parsons is the only candidate with the leadership, trial skills and temperament to be the District Attorney of Brazos County.  It is with great excitement and humility that I endorse Jarvis to continue to represent the citizens of Brazos County.

I was already a career prosecutor with over a decade of experience trying the most difficult cases to include crimes against children, family violence, murder and intoxication manslaughter, when I met Jarvis.  We were both teaching for the Texas District and County Attorney’s Association.  Jarvis immediately stood out as a leader amongst leaders.  He is a man of impeccable values – doing what justice demands all the time.  Justice based on what it is right and wrong not what is popular or will increase his perceived personal gain.  I knew that summer that those he served were blessed to have him as their District Attorney.  Two years later I had the opportunity to make the switch and join his team.  The decision to leave my home county to join a new office was one which required a reflection and prayer.  It is hard for old dogs to learn new tricks.  But day after day, I continued to be called to Brazos County, to Jarvis Parsons.  At the time, my husband was still an active-duty Marine stationed away from home.  He saw the same things I saw in Jarvis and encouraged me join his team as well.  Today, I am proud to serve as a Chief of Court in his office and to be part of the leadership team he has built.

Leaders lead from the front.  Jarvis’ guidance is steadfast and his mentorship strong.  He believes in grace when it is warranted and punishment to protect the community.  He has implemented new programs to help those who struggle with addiction but also harsh penalties for those who violate community standards.  He and his team of leaders can be seen training police, prosecutors, social workers, nurses and advocates across the state and country.  He is quick to sit and ask members of his office about their work, but their family as well.  God and family come first and that is very clear to everyone who meets Jarvis.

His trial skills are unprecedented.  He is a legal scholar and constant trial strategist.  Each case is treated with the same vigor and passion – whether it is drug possession, sexual assault or capital murder.  Every case, every victim and yes, every defendant is worthy of his time and dedication.  He stresses the importance of hard work, dedication and thoughtful evaluation of each case.  To think thru every aspect of trial to reach the goal of accountability.  This extends to defendants, victims and our BCS community.

To be the elected District Attorney means that you have to be thoughtful and reflective, not quick to react out of emotion.  Jarvis is the portrait of thoughtful and reflective.  He takes time to consider not only his actions but the actions of those around him.  He speaks to everyone with kindness and compassion regardless of their role in the criminal justice system.  Jarvis can be found meeting with victim and defendant’s families alike.  Listening and learning what they need from him and from his office to feel seen and heard.  He demands that those around him be thoughtful and reflective as well.  He is not quick to anger or and never to hate.  Qualities that the elected District Attorney must possess.

In my sixteen years as a prosecutor I have never felt as strongly that one individual was called to serve in a particular capacity.  But there is not a doubt in my mind that Jarvis Parsons was called to serve as the District Attorney of Brazos County.  He is the only candidate who can continue to serve this community to the standards set by the ideals of justice.

Kristin Burns

I am delighted to write of my support for Mr. Jarvis Parsons in his reelection as District Attorney of Brazos County. I serve with Mr. Parsons as a Board Member for the Brazos Valley Sexual Assault Resource Center (“SARC”). It was in these meetings that I first met Mr. Parsons and came to respect not only his determination to help those in need, but also his kindness and infectious sense of humor. Although we are dealing with tough topics that strike an emotional chord, Mr. Parsons has been able to tackle these tough issues with grit and inclusion. It is not often that I, as a female professional, feel equal to the men around me; but through Mr. Parsons’ funny and inviting personality, I find that I too wish to tackle even some of the most difficult issues SARC faces with the same grit and inclusion that Mr. Parsons has. I strongly believe that Mr. Parsons has executed his duties as the Brazos County District Attorney with the upmost determination and empathy, and I hope he is honored to continue the pursuit of those duties upon reelection. I would be more than happy to speak with anyone about Mr. Parsons’ qualifications to continue as the Brazos County District Attorney – so please do not hesitate to reach out.
